Why we need the advanced security at all. Why not enhance the basic security with additional roles with privileges such as read only/view only/shutdown down/start . This one of the best option in eGate 4.5.1+ up.
LDAP is costly. Plus it overrides the existing authentication mechanism such as active directory.
