1) if you have a firewall between the client and host make sure the ports are
open (host server port for whatever version you are on, and port 80
– yep, must have telnet).
2) turn out telnet must be running on the server
the one I was attaching to was a WIN2K box and needed telnet services
started.
Also, once you start telnet, stop and restart the host server
