I haven’t heard back from any official Infor Reps so I will be creating a Slack workspace in the near future.
I would like to know if people are willing to join it or if any Infor Reps have an issue with me creating one so that the CL community can get help from one another.
Austin, Infor is working on Clovertech v2.0. It’s currently in an alpha/beta testing phase. I do not know if Slack will provide any faster answers to Clvf questions as the folks on Slack will be the same as folks here on CT. Since our numbers are limited and we all have job responsibilities, some questions will simply suffer from resource availability.
I think there’s a place for chat apps (Slack) and forums (Clovertech). Slack tends to be more casual and asking for general guidance or seeing if quick help is available. Forums are better for getting specific answers to questions and leaving lots of time for people to respond. Forums are also better about retaining old posts and letting you search for them.
Thanks for the input and giving us some feedback. Look forward to seeing Clovertech 2.0
David,
That’s my line of thinking. Sometimes people will have a quick question on how to do something.
I think it would benefit the entire Cloverleaf community. I will be setting up a Slack workspace in 2-4 weeks and those who want to join will be more than welcomed.
I just created the channel so we will go through some pains as we try to get more users to join. I know that everyone has other jobs but I ask for anyone to join whether you are a beginner or if you have years of experience. This will only be successful if the community wants it to be.
It’s a message app were people join and ask questions about Cloverleaf. I hope the people who uses CL will be able to join and help others or get help from others.
