API Calls and open Ports

Hello all-

My team and I have been using API Calls in cloverleaf via TCL. We’ve noticed, however, that each time we make a call, a port is being opened on our server in “Close Wait” status.

My question: is there any way to close out these ports once we receive a message back? We always get a message back, so I’m not sure why these ports remain open. I don’t want the numbers to get so large that something crashes.

  Not that this really helps but what that means to me is that a closing of the connection is not happening correctly.

  I looked up a few examples of TCL’s that use the tclcurl method and these calls used a cleanup function:
  
  $curlHandle cleanup
  
  This seems to do the trick! Hopefully this helps someone in the future.
