When our GM Windows server is rebooted, or just the Windows Service is restarted, the host entries are disconnected from the Cloverleaf server.

The only remedy we have found so far is to rebuild the host entries. Then they reconnect fine. We don’t have to touch the Views.

In the middle of the night, we want our Help Desk staff to be able to reconnect the hosts when the server is rebooted, but they don’t have access to the hosts.

But wait – there is a permission called View and Edit Hosts list – sounds perfect. We gave them that permission. But when they bring up the Hosts list, there are no hosts listed. So… what hosts are being used when they are in a View? I think when the administrator built the View for the Help Desk, GM used the hosts available in the Host List that the administrator built.

In other words, each user that has access to View and Edit Hosts, can create their own list of hosts, but a view built by another user will use the host created by that other user. So Hosts are not global.

I don’t want to give the Help Desk staff permissions to create views. I just want them to be able to recycle a ‘stuck’ host. Is there a way to do this?
