I  need to make some changes to an MDM_T04. There are some fields in TXA segment that need to be either altered or hardcoded with but when I do a BULKCOPY and then COPY the remaining segments. I’m only getting the MSH segment and EVEN with just field 1 and nothing else.

Original message above. Thanks for all the help.

Do your inbound and outbound variants match?

yes, I just don’t know what’s going on. I used PATHCOPY too, same thing.

              Does just the BULKCOPY work?

If not then normally that is a mismatch in the ib and ob message structures

Have you run the inbound message through the HL/7 tester using the variant you are using in your Xlate?

That I haven’t done. I will try it tonight and see what I get. Thanks a lot.

I’m still just getting the MSH segment when I ran it through the HL7 tester.

So your variant does not match the data.

                      What release of Cloverleaf?

Did you see any errors when running the HL/7 Tester?

Take a screen shot of your Message structure from the HL/7 configurator (not in the Xlate) and email that to me or attach to a post here.

If you only see the MSH segment in the HLt-tester, then I think your segments don’t end with the required CarriageReturn.

Do a hcihexdump of this test-message and check which character(s) end each segment. It should be x0D.

Thank you so much. Didn’t think about that.

Thank you everyone for all your help. There was an issue with the file. I did hcihexdump like you said and found out the segments were ending with 0xa instead of oxd. fixed it and now testing working out great. Thanks again gentlemen.
