There is a post on infor about it in their knowledge base, error was found in cloverleaf 6.1 install and the UNIX ADMIN needs to install a package and use smity to install it..

          Description:

Receive the following error when attempting to start the monitor daemon:

          Starting hcimonitord

exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program hcimonitord because of the following errors:

0509-150 Dependent module libptools_ptr.a(shr.o) could not be loaded.

          0509-022 Cannot load module libptools_ptr.a(shr.o).

0509-026 System error: A file or directory in the path name does not exist.

          hcimonitord failed to execute properly

Lockmgr is running on pid 20119674

          hcimonitord is NOT running

          Resolution:

The issue is the libptools_ptr.a missing.

You can have your AIX system admin install the bos.adt.debug package that comes with the AIX install

This has the missing libptools_ptr.a library in it.
