the notes files do contain x0a for newlines…but under IE Global Monitor, they display as one contiguous string.

We use html tags to separate ours in to separate lines.

in the gui select the Show as HTML and it will parse them appropriately. works the same for GM.

yea….”HTML” probably how we’ll go (with some work) > 1800 threads)

…but want to first “try to put the work” on Infor to get it fixed or provide appropriate solution

You can put the text in a HTML file (paste the text in Word and save as html for example) then use a link in the Notes file to point to the html file.

That way when the text needs to change, change the html file and the Notes file(s) will all link to the new text.

You can add text in the Notes file indicating what the link if you want. It does mean someone will need to click on the link though to find out what it says.

Jim, can you please clarify how you would link the html file? I added the directory path  to the HTML file within the notes tab of the thread in NetConfig; however, it simply displays the path as text?

If you could help clarify it would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately I don’t recall the particulars, my notes had to remain with my previous employer, and I do not have a Cloverleaf environment at my disposal.

However, I think you can probably find how to link to a file in HTML by searching the internet – or – perhaps others on the forum who have fresh examples can assist.

I do recall it was pretty simple.

Actually, I believe that was the information I needed. I was not linking to the HTML file, by inputting the link to the file in HTML format.

I will try it out and if that doesn’t work I’ll just paste the HTML code directly.

Nevertheless, thank you for your help Jim, I greatly appreciate it.

                      Respectfully,

                      Mohammed
