      Hi,

We got the following errors and the SMAT DB doesn’t save transactions for the inbound thread:

rror returned from SMAT database: database corruption at line 50986 of [091570e46d]. Error code is 11

Error returned from SMAT database: database corruption at line 51025 of [091570e46d]. Error code is 11

Error returned from SMAT database: statement aborts at 5: [] . Error code is 11

Error returned from SMAT database: database disk image is malformed. Error code is 11

Unable access db fr_cerner_ministry. Error 11:’database disk image is malformed’

Looks like the SMAT DB corrupted. How to recreate the SMAT DB?

      Thank you for your help!

      Helen

Helen, are you using encrypted SMATDB’s?

I found that since the engine is running as user “hci” if you are logged in as yourself and you try to do anything to the encrypted SmatDB files it will corrupt them.  Once that happens, there is no going back.  Stop the thread, delete the SmatDB files, restart the thread and move on from there.

We have run into the same issue here a number of times.  Not sure what causes it.  I opened a case with Infor and what R&D told me to do was to move the saved file names .smatdb* to another location and restart the process.  The engine will recreate the SMATDB files correctly.  The issue I have is my company depends upon that data in the SMATDB files and I can’t get it back.

Take a look at the hcismatDB script I posted some time back.   It will give you some ideas how I accessed the SMAT database

You will be pleased to know that CL 6.2 will have an API to access and manipulate the SMAT database.  The SMAT Database API consists of  function calls available to Java and Tcl UPoCs:

Is SMAT DB corruption still an issue?

We’re using SMAT files right now, but anticipate we may want to use the DB instead at some point.

Like Rob, we use the data contained in our SMAT, so want to know that it’s solid before I consider moving off of files.
