      Hello,

I have a TCL script that will adjust the User Data of a transactions Metadata.  Where can I place this script so that the field is adjusted prior to writing to the SMAT db.  This is on an inbound thread.

      Thanks,

      Jay 😀 [/i]

The SMAT data is recorded on inbound prior to any points of control you have so you cannot change the SMAT.

But do you want to add metadata to the message after it comes into Cloverleaf (post inbound SMAT recording)? If so the Inbound TPS is where I would start.

            Jim,

Thank you for the response.  I wanted to use this on the inbound thread of an sFTP to store the patient ID.  There is no outbound SMAT as these files are rather large (.PDF).

Well you can update the Metadata at the Inbound but it would be after SMAT is written to.

I am not sure why you would want the inbound SMAT to reflect anything other than what was received.

                Jim,

Right now the Protocol Driver Control field contains the name of the file.  Part of the name is the Visit number for the patient.  For ease of viewing/searching, the idea was to pull out the Visit number and place in the User Data field.  Since I cannot do this, then we can continue to search Driver field.
