      Hello everyone,

      Does anyone have experience converting DICOM messages to HL7 using Cloverleaf 6.0?

      I’m trying to convert MPPS DICOM messages to HL7 messages then send it to RIS, but the xlate doesn’t support DICOM format as input. So, I wonder if there is an alternative to accomplish it, probably using filters, xlate, java or tcl…

          Are you using the DICOM protocol recently released and the LDL format?

            Max —

            along with the first post, I was asked if the interface engine can support receiving a PDF via a DICOM message and then sending it to an external system?

            Currently on 5.8.4, currently have an upgrade project for servers and 6.1.2

            would v6 be the release to be on to handle what the clients are asking for?

              I’m actually not sure about that one. I’ve not too familiar with DICOM. I recommend placing a ticket on Infor Xtreme and asking that question and perhaps requesting the feature if it doesn’t already do what you need it to do.

                I did post a ticket as well the entry here.  We are currently in a server and release upgrade project, going to release 6.1.2

                initial reply was not 100% certain on an answer. The person wants to do some research rather than post an initial reply, and if incorrect, then follow with an update.

                Support person wants to run this by development to verify for 6.1.2.

                Also support is asking them if this would be better handled by 6.2 which has just been released in the last few days.

                  I would not recommend using the DICOM functionality in 6.0.  It was beta-quality in that release and contains some bugs.

                  We do have at least one customer using DICOM live in 6.1.2.  

                  There are several bug fixes related to DICOM in 6.2.  If you’re able to upgrade, I’d recommend using 6.2 for DICOM interfaces.

                    Can Cloverleaf convert DICOM images to other formats like PDF or TIFF?

                      We don’t recommend modifying the images in DICOM transactions.  There aren’t any built in conversion utilities.

                      Of course you can do anything you want through scripting…
