Clearing out pending messages

This is probably a newbie question but what’s the command to clear out pending messages out of the recovery database on a particular thread. Thanks in advance.

  hcidbdump -r -d threadname -D optionalFileName
  
  Where -r specifies the Recovery Database, -d is the destination flag, threadname is the name of the destination (outbound) thread, -D indicates to delete, and optionalFileName is a filename that you specify if you want to save the messages off that you are deleting.
