    Hello,

I built this translation and have had a couple of coworkers look at this. We can not understand why the last NTE segment is not translating over. Any ideas? I have attached an image of the translation.

Is your result from the Testing tool or from an engine run?

If from an engine run make sure there is nothing post Xlate which might truncate the message.

I cannnot see your Basis for each of the ITERATES but assuming they are correct I do not see anything that jumps out at me.

I have tried it in the testing tool and also from an engine run. I have also tried having the same variants on both side but for some reason the iteration is not working for me. The basis I have used are as follows:

      1

      1(0).0(0).NTE

      1(0).1

      1(0).1(0).NTE

Please post a screen shot of the ITERATE Action Properties so we can see how the basis is set up for each ITERATE not just the NTE but also the OBX Group.

In you nested bases, you may need to include your % variables

      1 using group variable %g1

      1(%g1).0(0).NTE using segment variable %s1

      1(%g1).1 using group variable %g2

      1(%g1).1(%g2).NTE using segment variable %s3

I think these are what you were using….

You may want to test the message in the HL7 tester using both inbound variant and verify the paths… Then take the same message and test with the outbaound variant to confirm where the counters are counting….

Keith I used your recommendation and it works. Thank you very much

I was not aware of doing basis this way. Can any one shed light on this?

If you run your message through the HL7 tester, review where the counters increment.
