      CL 6.0.2 running on AIX.

We are in the process of setting up multiple sites to help with throughput issues.  I have one site set up.  I’ve created the destination thread and

am routing messages through that to another site.

I see the messages getting to the receiving site, as shown in the status.

However nothing is hitting the related outputs from that site.

In the receiving site, what protocol do I use in the setup?

Inter-site Routing port is correct and I selected PROTOCOL:file.

Should I be using something else?

If you are NOT using the Cloverleaf inter-site routing, then:

Your outbound thread from the source site s/b a TCP/IP protocol (PDL is fine) and the receiving (inbound thread should be the same protocol.

Localhost is the host and the same port for both.

Wait for ack on the outbound (source site) and provide an ack on the inbound (receiving site).

Thanks Jim.  I AM using the Cloverleaf inter-site routing, or at least I’m trying to.

In that case, do you want to re-route in the receiving site?

If so at your release the receiving thread is   an outbound thread so you will need to OVER the message so it is Inbound to the thread so you can route the message.

Or do what I described using two threads.

Might have to give you a call early next week.

Unless you can briefly explain what “OVER” looks like.

OVER is a disposition you give to a message like CONTINUE, KILL, PROTO. You would do that in Tcl.

If you are not comfortable with that then use the TCP/IP thread pair.

It works and has for decades for cross site.

In a later release of Cloverleaf (I don’t recall which one post 6.0.0) you can get the inter-site receiving thread to act like an inbound thread and not need to do an OVER on the message.

If you are intent on doing multi-site using inter-site and you don’t want to to do the OVER then find out which release and if that release is available now think about upgrading.

I do like the TCP/IP thread pair idea.

So, on the SOURCE side, I am getting messages into the thread, and wanting to send those to the DESTINATION side.

My guess is I would use a RAW static_route configuration.

If correct, how do I get the DESTINATION [in a different site] to show up to connect to?
