          Version?  Platform?

I see that this is happening around 2004 in the evening.  Do you have any system backups or processes running at that time?  Does your crontab show anything running at that time?

We are on CL 5.85 and UNIX -AIX platform, i cannot find any cron jobs that run about that time. nothing jumps out, it happens during the week but not on SAT or SUN which is weird.

I am still researching and asking for input.

Is the process that is running the same owner as the database owner?

For example:  on our 5.8.5 on AIX all processes are run by the user hci and hci is the owner of the database files.

I’ve seen this when we have server crashes or sometimes when a process is killed using kill -9.

It means there was a corruption in you database file caused by an interupted write.

Are you stopping your processes forcefully at this time? If you are try stopping them nicely.

If you are using a VM check that there is not a backup causing the file io to be closed.

Otherwise I would say you have a corrupt disk drive.
