      I stumbled on this a while back and today thought some may benefit from this little trick.

      In the past, every time I launched the CIS app, it would look to the client.ini and open the last server and site. In our relatively small environment, there was only a 1 in 10 chance that the correct site would be displayed. Yes, it is easy to change the server and/or site, but it still annoyed me.

      Here is what I figured out. Once you have your client config exactly like you want it, go to the client directory on your local computer, in my case it is…

      C:cloverleafcis6.0integratorclient

      Open the client.ini file in notepad or your favorite editor scroll down to the section of the file with your username. It should look something like this…

      [user_stroutm]

      hosts=clover3,clover1

      last_remote=true

      last_host=hci3

      last_environ=/cis/cloverleaf/cis6.0/integrator/tmfadt

      Remove the value for last_host and last_environ (bolded above).

      Save and close the file and then change the file attribute to read-only.

      Now every time you log in, you will be prompted to select the server and site you want to open.

      Enjoy,

      Mike
