Using Database Schema info within an XLATE

I’m able to configure a DB Schema using the Database Schema Configurator and select tables/columns I need to use. However, if I have an XLATE that is HL7 to HL7, is there any way for me to call these columns within the XLATE?

I’m thinking that the answer is no. I realize that I can configure the XLATE to use a DB configuration on the inbound or outbound, but I was really hoping to utilize these columns within the XLATE without having to create a separate Tcl script that has to make all the calls for me.

Is this enhancement for a future release: The ability to use select, insert and update statements within the XLATE.
