I noticed today that our HostServer processes is always running near the top of the processes in CPU.  Yes it does jump down but it jumps right back up.  I decided to try and do a bit of digging into the Audit log to see what I could see.  To see if anyone has the GUI up or is doing something through the GUI.  Well I found something weird every 1 to 2 seconds I get a a line in the audit log for    chssrvr    is grated access to hcinetmonitor.  I went looking for this file and found it under the    clgui/bin/unsupported/    directory.

Anyone know WHY, every 1 to 2 seconds something is trying to access the HostServer and what it may be?  Or how can I get this to stop doing it so often.

Below is an attachment picture of the Audit Log viewer.

      TIA… Rob

          Hey Rob,

Did you ever figure out the reason you were getting this?  I’m seeing it on an engine running 6.1.1 on an AIX platform.

No I never got this figured out.  We are now on RHEL so I can’t even look at my old AIX systems.
