Certify Cloverleaf for Meaningful Use

Not fully understanding certifications needed for Cloverleaf, in order to send data to an HIE, so forgive the questions, if you all have “been there, done that”.

I’m being told in order to send data to an HIE, that Cloverleaf’s connection point must be certified. Has anyone already gone through this process and if you would please share what is involved, I would appreciate it. Everything I’m reading indicates the certification is at the source system, i.e. EHR, Lab system, etc… When asking this question internally, the response back to me is “Cloverleaf would be the source system, when sending to an HIE”.
