I have a thread in one of my sites that needs to be temporarily disabled as it may come back into service sometime in the near future. I don’t want any messages flowing to it and piling up in the recovery database, but I also don’t want to delete the route details, only to have to recreate them later.

What is the best way to accomplish this sort of disabling?

Possibly related, what is the purpose of the Read-only checkbox in an Xlate Route Detail window? I ask because it would be pretty cool if it accomplished exactly what I am hoping to do above, but that would probably be too easy. I scoured the documentation and this forum and found nothing about it.

          Mike,

What we do in this case is to place hcitpsmsgkill in the Route pre-proc.

If that is to intense (lots of routes) then you can place the hcitpsmsgkill in the outbound thread Outbound Tps.

I have never used read-only on Xlte Route Detail so I cannot help there.

Thanks for the kill proc idea. As I was typing in my original post, I thought of that option, but thought I would see what the pros here thought.

Hopefully will chime in on the purpose of the Read-only checkbox.

            Mike
