      Good Afternoon,

I have an issue with my errdb Alert.  Anytime we restart our Alert Monitor, the alert will fire and send an page out to our pager.  I am told it fires because on the restart the error db count gets set to null and then goes to 0 on the restart.

Is there something on the alert that I can set so it doesn’t page on a restart of the Alert Monitor?

      Here is my alert:

          Greetings,

There is a bug with 5.8.5.0 [at least maybe earlier in 5.8] and the Error DB alert in that every 3 minutes it gets reset and fires.  We reported it to INFOR support and now there is a Revision 6 that should fix it.

We implemented a workaround using an exec action after our email

action that drains the error database metadata and message contents

to a directory for support (that is us) to examine when we get the email

notice.  With no error DB entries the monitorD does not find them and so

          does not fire again.

We have just extracted Revision 6 to see if it works for this bug.

          Hope this helps.

            Bob,

            Thanks for the reply.

I found what I was looking for.  Turns out if you select the ALL_THREADS option on the source input box, it will only page 1 time, not once for each thread listed.

            Thanks

            Corey
