I have an 2.4 oru and am trying to do an if statement in an multiple OBR and OBX segments.

I am only getting one OBX segment after the first OBR segment.

Here is the output. I am trying to get a value into OBX18 based on they type of device.

      MESSAGE 1

      0(0).MSH(0)

          Jim K.

I was able to modify my variant so that it I did not have repeating OBX segments within multiple groups.

Then it was just a matter of getting the Iteration variables within the correct basis place holders. Also I want to thank you for setting me straight about adding a Group or other variable within the basis declaration of a nested iteration. I was confused from reading other statements if that could be done or not.

I was having a difficult time with my compound if statement so I changed to running OBX 18 through a table and changing the outbound side based one the value of the inbound and if not in the table then just retain the original value of OBX18.

Your support is top shelf Jim.

In any case Jim, you provide excellent assistance, which in my experience has been extremely elusive from certain sources. 🙄
