Level 3 Training Question

Lots of tcl programming. It was not terribly difficult, but be very familiar with tcl programming and developing interfaces with tcl, UPOCS etc.

You may want to actually ask Lawson to provide you with ‘justification’ for this training as well.  It seems that it would be in their self-interest to  verbalize why you should take their training.  I took Level 3 several years ago and found it beneficial.  I’m sure the content has changed and I could probably even learn a thing or two from the class now.

I would say understanding the Cloverleaf architecture was the biggest thing I came out of it with.  For justification purposes, if you do not currently have anyone on your integration team that is level 3 certified I would say that you should have at least one person that has an in depth knowledge of Cloverleaf that is able to tell if a proposed interface design is the best way to approach the given problem or not.  I started with Cloverleaf on my own with no help right out of my Level I class 10 years ago and learned by trial and error which I would not recommend.  You can design yourself into a corner where it becomes impractical to change the design once it’s in production.  You and your future co-workers are then stuck agonizing over the way you developed the interfaces.  (guilty as charged)  In short, I think you need at least one resident expert at your facility.
