5.8.5 SMAT files

Has anyone who is using 5.8.5 finding that if using the SMAT tool and a file is loaded and a new message is sent and the same file is re-loaded in the same instance of the SMAT tool the new message does not show up? The only way to see the new message is to start a new instance of SMAT and load the file and the new message is now there. Is this a new “feature” or just a plain old bug?

  Considering there was a time when you couldn’t open SMAT on a file that was also being populated by a running thread, I would think this a small inconvenience.
  
  That said, perhaps a refresh function is needed so one doesn’t have to reload?

  I have noticed the same thing. In 5.6 and 5.7 I was used to being able to simply reload the same file to refresh it. Not sure if the new “functionality” was intentional or not but it is frustrating to have to completely close SMAT, reopen and load the file again.
  
  On the plus side, I like the fact that you now can have multiple SMAT tabs open with different files loaded.

  I’ve noticed the same issue with having to close the SMAT window and re-open to reload the file, simply selecting load again doesn’t work. When we are used to it working and now it doesn’t, this really throws us off at times.
