No Subject or Message in Alert email

    I have an alert set up so when a thread goes down, we get a email message.

      I recognize that you posted this two years ago, and I hope that you found a solution.

      Since then I had the same problem and was wondering what the heck was going on, and I don’t think anyone had solved it.

      One of the threads that we were getting alerts for was removed but yet the alert remained “alerting” on that thread. Once I removed those old thread remnants  from the alerts the emails ceased.

      Richard, I think your issue is different from Carol’s. My 1st thought is that you should check for a ghost process.

      Code:

      ps -ef|grep hciengine|grep $threadname

      Carol, Granted this is a very old issue but you should post your email code.

      Is it just “Carols” who have this issue?

      I have had a few instances where an alert fires correctly for a time (months), then suddenly sends an email with a blank subject line and message.

      I have tried deleting and rebuilding, which worked once, but have not been able to get an alert to work again.

      Did anyone have a solution for this?
