      Good morning all,

      We are having a very weird issue regarding a VRL to HL7 translation that I cannot determine the cause. So I thought I’d see if anyone else has experienced this:

      In short, I have the same xlate, VRL definition, and test file on our test and production Cloverleaf 5.7 Rev2 systems.

      When I run the XLT testing tool in out Test environment, the file processes correctly

      When I run the XLT testing tool in Production, the file causes the tool to Panic and core dump with this error:

      PANIC: assertion ‘(vce)->vce_type == (1)’ failed at VrlFieldCache.cpp/105

      Anyone seen this panic error before and know what it might mean?

      Thanks for your help.

          Mark,

          I have not seen this but I would eliminate the VRL definition as the culprit by backing up the VRL definition in Production and copying the Test definition (since it works) to production then retest.

          If the issue goes away, do a diff on the two definitions and determine if you can what the difference is.

          If the issue does not go away, the validate your Xlate is identical, then finally the HL/7 variant.

          If you have any Tcl involved, make sure the prod and test versions are identical.
