Just curious if anyone has found a format for their interface diagrams that they like.

We are asked to keep an updated diagram for our team as well as our executives to use.  These are obviously two different audiences, but the goal is a high level diagram that is not in such small print that it cannot be read.

If anyone has a screen shot example they would like to post, it would be appreciated.

    Mike

My ‘opinion’ is that everyone thinks they want a diagram until they get one.

I use a heavily customized NetConfig layout as my diagram.  It works well for me and several support teams use print outs of it as a reference.

We use a visio diagram with Cloverleaf in the middle.  It looks like a big mess but the higer-ups love it.

(had to rename the .vsd attachment as .txt…..Clovertech does not allow .vsd files as attachments.  Try renaming back to .vsd when viewing)

I share a lot of Daniel’s sentiments, but will refrain from pulling out my own soapbox…so I don’t do diagrams for staff distribution anymore.

My co-worker has come with an ingeniously simple Word document that mahogany row says they love.

      Maybe it will help you.

I created a script example awhile ago demonstrating how to create dynamic diagrams using svg.
