Meditech 6.0 Question

I am looking for customers on Meditech 6.0 that might be able to answer this question.  I would like to know if this version of Meditech supports and API call to validate a user and their access to a patient with the following criteria:

User name

Password

Patient ID

If this API does exist, is it native to Meditech or would it be a custom API that some needs to create.
