    Hi,

We have Cloverleaf 5.7 running and are noticing when one brings up the Thread Notes in the Network Monitor, one cannot interact with the Netwowrk Monitor while that dialog window is up.  If one has troublehooting notes in the dialog, how is one to use them effectively if one has to shut down the window to perform a step?

Has anyone put a link to just a document on a file server not a web server in the thread notes?

    Thanks, Virginia Everett

Don’t have an answer to your second question, but the NetConfig is like that with any properties screen you have up…you can always open another gui and open the NetMonitor on the second GUI and NetConfig on first GUI.

I noted that the Process Log file views do allow you to interact with the Network Monitor.  I have put in an enhancement request for the notes.

Virginia, for our thread notes, we created html links to a MSWord document We created the link to go directly to a specific bookmark in the document for each thread. Check the “Show as HTML” for my example.

      <a href="http://PATH/Support_Document.doc#cerner_res_o”>Support Document

#cerner_res_o represents the bookmark name in Support_Document.doc

I created a working example for myself some time back in case I ever wanted to use links to point to things like you are asking about.

Thanks for asking the question, I forgot I actually created an example of how to do this and have been thinking about doing something like this lately.

I feel like I just found a hidden $20 bill in my wallet.

Here is the text in my notes example I created:

      Code:

Cloverlef 5.6 TEST This is a link to a URL.

PDF file link This is a link to a file.

XLS file link This is a link to a file.

Below are 2 screen shots showing the notes text above and with the HTML box checked showing the user friendly visual display.

In my example none of the files are on the cloverleaf server owned by hci.

The IDE is running on my PC and I’m logged in as myself and not hci when I launched the IDE, so it is my permissions that allow me access to the shared drives I would assume.

If I’m wrong someone please educate me, too.

      Hi,

Are you working with an Unix box as your engine server?

      Thanks, Virginia

We are running our Cloverleaf server on an AIX/UNIX box.
