Hey Everyone!  Got a question that is stumping me at the moment.  I’ve a vendor that is sending separate scheduling notes in SCH#6-1 and SCH#6-2.  We’ve been requested to see if we can take those two subcomponents and turn them into two separate NTE segments, placing SCH#6-1 into the first NTE segment – field 3, and then SCH#6-2 into the second NTE segment – field 3. Is this possible?  Thanks for the help!  Phil

Well, I can’t believe it, but I just figured it out myself.  I tried iterating it as a list instead of a segment, and that did the trick!  So for those of you who were planning on responding, I thank you in advance.  Phil

            Phil,

If I understand the situation correctly, you could also do this:

            COPY SCH#6.1 –> NTE#3(0)

            COPY SCH#6-2 –> NTE#3(1)

Above assumes NTE-3 is the destination field. Note the use of actual positional values in the NTE Segment repetition position (0 and 1).

Yes sir, you are correct, it works exactly the same.  I like using Iterates every chance I get for the practice.  Thanks to you, I’ve gotten a pretty good grasp on using them.
