I haven’t had the chance to mess with web services yet so I need some help.

The current configuration is cloverleaf is the middle man between Nextgen and Initiate.  Nextgen initiates a QBP^Q22 or Q23 hits cloverleaf which passes the query on to initiate.  Initiate then sends a RSP^K22 or K23 back to cloverleaf which then passes it on to Nextgen.  This is currently setup as a mlp_tcp connection.

The problem on the Nextgen side is it works like a web service in that it connects sends query gets response and then disconnects and it would appear that Cloverleaf isn’t always able to disconnect and turn around and accept another query connection fast enough.

My thought was that maybe I could setup the web services module on cloverleaf and then Nextgen could connect via http.  As I mentioned before I haven’t done this before and I’m not sure where to get started and what I need to accomplish this.  In the meantime if anyone has any suggestions about tweaking the current mlp_tcp connection that might solve my problem please let me know.

      Thanks,

      Nick

          Nick:

Cloverleaf can be a Web client but not a server.  To do what you want you would probably need IB to act as a web server.

These are PIX and PDQ query/response messages so I assume you are doing some iHE tasks

Try setting the thread up as a multiserver thread even though you only have one connection.  That way if the port is in the process of going down and not availabe a new port will be assigned
