Is anyone running 5.8 rev3 on Redhat 5.4 and experienced time out errors (error state 104) and delays in making tcp/ip connections to client systems? Sometimes it takes almost 9 minutes to make a connection and there are frequent disconnects.
Hi Jerry. Are you using the tcpip protocol or pdl-tcpip protocol? I was using tcpip on 5.8R3 on Redhat 5.3 and it was a train wreck. I had to switch back to the pdl-tcpip protocol.
We are using a combo of mlp and and a custom protocol we built for our HIS. Some connections are quick, some take 9 minutes. We have a 5.7 development system on Linux too that has the same delay problem, but everything running in our current 5.3 on AIX is connecting as quick as to be expected.
