We are in the process of moving from a windows server to a Linux box.

On the windows system we use a site maintenance file that has many commands to setup variables, then stops the processes and does a cycle_in or out depending upon the thread.

Then it does a file rename and copy for the both the .msg and .idx files.

Is there a way to do this task on the Linux box without using the sitemaintenance file?

      Here is our system specs.
