I’m a newbie to Cloverleaf this year.  We are converting over from another interface engine.  I have built and implemented two new ADT Interfaces on Cloverleaf that are working well but having a few issues.  We have all Cerner Msgs(ADT, Orders etc) coming into one thread.  I have it setup to kill any message that is not an ADT, ie. ORM, RDE, ORU but I’m having a problem with the ORU_R01 messages.  See error below.  For some reason it is not killing the message.  I also added the ZDS Segment in the variant so I’m not sure why it is coming up with that error either.  Any ideas?

      [msg :RecP:WARN/0:test_db_xlate:05/06/2011 14:45:14] [0.0.11918547] unknown segment ‘ZDS’ — ignored.

[msg :RecP:WARN/0:test_db_xlate:05/06/2011 14:45:14] [0.0.11918547] The # 6 segment encountered ‘ZDS’ is not defined for message type ‘ORU_R01’.  Segment ignored.

[xpm :xlt :WARN/0:test_db_xlate:05/06/2011 14:45:14] Data fetch warning: unknown segment ‘ZDS’ — ignored.

The # 6 segment encountered ‘ZDS’ is not defined for message type ‘ORU_R01’.  Segment ignored.

          Deborah,

Welcome to the best tool on the market and to Clovertech.

Did you do a ‘Reconfigure’ on the Xlate after changing the variant and then cycle the process? To reconfigure, open the Xlate, then select Reconfigure from the ‘File’ menu pulldown and just click OK.

The Xlate does not automatically pick up a change to a Variant or record layout – you use Reconfigure to force it to pick that up.

As for the filtering, how are you doing that – via a Tcl proc or in the Xlate?
