I just recently upgraded to Cloverleaf 5.7 on Linux.  On this last server I have one connection where I am receiving the following error over and over again.

[pdl :PDL :ERR /0:wchild_clinical_in:04/21/2011 00:37:30] read returned error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable)

[pdl :PDL :ERR /0:wchild_clinical_in:04/21/2011 00:37:30] read returned error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable)

When this happens, the process consumes the CPU and slows everything down to the point where outbound Acknowledgements queue on inbound threads across all processes.  I can recover by identifying the process and bouncing it.  This appears to be isolated to a single thread on a Hill-rom Navicare WatchChild interface inbound to the engine.  Usually the engine will have received a message and has an ACK waiting to go out when I receive this error.  Is there something that can be done on the engine to prevent this or is the problem on Navicare WatchChild.  The fact that this can bring the engine down is little annoying. Any thoughts?

          Keith,

My guess is this is on the other side.

I am betting they are not turning the port around to receive the acknowledgment.

Do they claim to be able to handle acknowledgments?

            Acknowledgement are being sent routinely.

              Keith,

I still would suspect the other side. Did this just start happening with 5.7?

Maybe there is something going on at that time that makes their system unavaiable?
