I was bouncing my ‘p1’ process yesterday and now it won’t start. In the Command Output, it says: EngineWatch process ‘p1’ is already running. Please wait until it finishes. But it never starts.

I’ve brought down all of the processes and reinitialized the databases for this site. Every other process (all 5 others) start just fine…p1 did not start.

I’ve also moved all of the threads to a different process, it starts just fine. When I move a thread back to p1, the p1 process still won’t start.

Any thoughts on resolving this? Even though I can move my threads to a different process, I don’t care to leave p1 hanging out there with an issue.

Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

          Go into the process directory.

Look for a wpid file. Get the process id it “thinks” it’s running on.

Do a system status and see if that pid is running.

If that pid belongs to some job other than enginewatch, delete the wpid file and try to restart that process.

If that pid is running and belongs to enginewatch, then you may be able to just kill that pid.

Thanks Michael. I’ll give it a try.

This resolved my issue. I renamed the wpid (just in case), started the process and it has been working correctly every since.

              Thanks again Michael!
