I may have discovered one reason why HUB on-call has seemed better lately; most of the night time alerts stopped getting triggered like they should since upgrading to Cloverleaf 5.6rev2.

Previously we had used a compound time notation like 0-6,19-23 within the alert configurator to specify the desired hours of the day, which no longer works after the CL 5.6rev2 upgrade.

It seems that only one dash will work in CL 5.6rev2 like

                     0-6,19,20,21,22,23

      or

                     0,1,2,3,4,5,6,19-23

I corrected the problem by getting rid of all dashes and doing

                     19,20,21,22,23,0,1,2,3,4,5,6

Just curious if this is a known problem I was unaware of and how others might of dealt with this.

I will be running some tests with cron when I get a chance to make sure it isn’t the OS that is causing this because we also upgraded to AIX 5.3.
