How to control order of file delivery?

      Just another quick question that arose in testing before rollout of CSC:

      If I deposit four files to be delivered why are they not picked up in any sort of logical sequence?  I’ve tested and verified this, and the messages as they arrive in the Cloverleaf backend are not delivered in alphabetical order, date created order (ascending or descending) or date modified (ascending or descending).  I can submit the exact same files twice and get them in two different orders.

      It seems as if the courier client is just grabbing them randomly?

      This is going to be an issue for us given that we will have multiple files each containing a single message that must be processed in order.

          It sounds like they might be picked up in the internal sequence of the directory entries. If you have files A, B, C, D, E, and you delete C, the next file added will go into the slot that used to hold C.

          If this is the case in your situation, and there is a point where the directory is empty before you place new files there, you could delete the empty directory, and then recreate it before placing new files there.

            I’m working on this with support right now.  Our site always seems to have these weird issues  ðŸ˜€
