Though having participated in the Beta Evaluation for CIS5.8 which has many new features – bells and whistles – it has not been out as long as CIS 5.7. CIS 5.8 (IMO) requires much thought on how to configure and retrofit (?) existing interface implementations. For example you now have multi-threading capability however one must be cautious about its impact on any global based TCL logic in your threads.
Bottom line: we have decided to go conservative for now selecting what we perceive to be a stable version of the next step up for us in the Integrator software. And in light of the soon to be development load on our limited staff to develop/deploy interfaces to new affliate health care organizations. Need to minimize where we will spend our limited Cloverleaf staff resources for the next year.
CIS5.8 is in our future but not in our immediate future based on current demand.
