      We are sending adts/orders to a cardiology system. A few weeks ago we there was some changes made on their end and now they are having orders not show up. But i  have the ACK from them saying they go it, they insist since it is not in there logs they dont have it. It’s my understanding that if we have another applications accepted ack that they indeed have recieved the transaction and now out of CL hands. This should be all the proof i need but would there be anything more that i can get to show them?

          Well the way I see it If I (the engine) get an AA ack my job is done. You could also turn up the logging send the vendor what *your* log says.  I have played this game before and won  8)

              You could simple ask “Why are you sending me an good ack if you are not processing the message?  Good Luck!

                Kevin,

                If the Control ID in the MSA  segment is the Control ID from the message you sent them (and that Control ID is relatively unique to the message sent) you have additional proof that they (or someone) responded to the message they say they did not receive.

                My question is – if they did not send you the acknowledgment who would have? Especially since on the same connection (apparently) they are getting the ADT messages and responding to them.

                  Thanks for you comments and reassurances. The recieving vendor finally admitting to seeing this at other sites and are going to do a release/fix.
