I have an ADT process in production. That Iam using protol fileset local to read from a folder. I am getting a CSV file from which I am creating HL7 messages using one or more TPS

Now I am going to get another ADT from another source that is going to be an HL7 batch. I am planning to set another inbound thread to read this HL7 batch so that I will have two inbound threads using different XLATES going to same outbound thread.

Question. Set up (schedule) that I have already created for my existing process (from previous inbound thread- that is now in production) will affect only that thread?

So that can I create another set up for my new inbound thread? (Now two set up schedules  for two inbound threads for the same  processes?)

All I am planning is that two inputs batches are going to follow different TPSs and different schedules?

Is this approach feasible? Any suggestions/comments will be really appreciated.

          Krishna,

If I understand you correctly, you have two inbound threads that are fileset-local protocol (reading from different locations), and will route to the same outbound thread.  For each of those inbound threads, they will be configured with different schedules.  To answer your question, “yes” the schedules are specific to the thread, not the process, so there is no issue.  The only caveat will be that if you bounce the process it will impact both threads.

            Thanks Jim.

I really appreciate that you cleared my confusion.

Regarging re-bouncing, that can be accomplished if I go by each thread insted of the process?
