Date Time Issue with VMWare and RedHat

Looking to resolve the date time issue that we are having with our IM 5.5 on RedHat along with the server being a VMWare server. We have applied the date/time patch for Redhat but it seems that our time is not matching up – with the patch installed the only other issue is the VMWare software causing an issue. Does anybody have a clue why this is occurring.

  I found that in the guest I needed to run vmware-toolbox and select the time synchronization setting. You might check there.
