      We have configured some clients on virtual machines.  We did this to allow us to apply the Patch-2 to CL_5.7.  Our test server is also on a virtual machine.  It seems that we are getting ‘connection lost’ messages using the 2 virtual machines.  Is anyone else seeing this?  

      We basically have to log off the IDE then log back in to continue working.

          Hi Mike,

          I’ve been running a production and a test server on VMWare for about 2 years without any issues. These started as CL5.3 but have been on 5.6 for nearly a year.

          Can’t comment on 5.7 but for me there have been no connection losses.

            Thanks Garry.  I’ll check with the VMware folks here.  Maybe they have something throttled back on their side.

              Interesting.  

                 Our old interface engine we are converting off of doesn’t play well with any XP Service packs. We installed the test client on those virtual machines and that is causing the timeout/connection lost issue.  I’ve installed it on a virtual machine with XP-SP3 and all works as advertised.  Just an FYI…
