Pharmacy Automation – Need some guidance

Our hospital has chosen to implement McKesson’s Pharmacy Automation system (PacMed, MedCarousel with ConnectRX). We currently use MedSelect for dispensing on the nursing floors and are using Horizon Meds Manager as our Pharmacy system. Our HIS system is McKesson Series 2000 (v14). I’m looking for a contact that has done interfaces to ConnectRX that also has a third party dispensing system. What do you use as your ADT source for ConnectRX? Your HIS system or your Pharmacy system? Any gotchas to look out for?

  We have the following systems.
  
  McKesson SERIES for our HIS
  
  McKesson HMM for pharmacy
  
  PYXIS for dispensing machines
  
  HMM feeds the ADT to both ConnectRX and Pyxis. We have had no problems with this setup for ConnectRX ( I justed verified that with our Pharmacy dept).
