      All,

I had the log file for one of my processes reach 2GB in size.  Not sure why it became that large.  This obviously crashed my entire process.  I stopped the process renamed the file and everything came back up just fine.  I then removed that large file.  This caused me to take a longer look at some of the files to ensure that other processes were not in the same shape or close to.  I found in the directory of /HIC/qdx5.5/intergrator/sitename/exec/errors/ that there are several files there that are 2GB in size as well and restarting the process doesn’t change the files.

My question is this, can these be deleted?

      Thanks,

      Jerry

          Hi Jerry,

What is the name of these files?

I think they could be coredumps, which you can remove without consequence.

              So no coredumps.

You can define how large the log-files of a process can get, before it gets cycled. In the Network Configurator: Process/Configure. Then per process you can enable ‘Automatic Log Cycling’ and define how large the logfile may be.

Maybe if you don’t define anything, it will cycle at 2GB.

I would also check what is logged because normally logfiles shouldn’t get very large, as everything should be ok.
