We have similar experience because operations takes down the RTIF on the mainframe side and doesn’t always follow the procedures to recycle the cloverleaf side.
I don’t have a good solutoin because my quick fix has been good enough.
I schedule via cron to recycle the RTIF interfaces after the scheduled downtime that always occurs on Saturday nights at the same time window.
I also have que depth alerts to recycle the outbound RTIF threads but those can be slow to get triggered on a Saturday night.
We have the same steps in place as you do currently.
We have the alerts from GM, also the GUI HL7 Alerts if a RTIF thread has been down for 15 secs to page the on call and email the rest of team and management.
Anyone else with some sort of solution that can help Russ and myself with this issue.
