I am suddenly starting to get failed messages when I am testing with a vendor. I am not sure why the messages are failing. Is there a way to look at failed messages? The message is failing in the inbound thread and never makes it to the outbound thread. Can SMAT be used to view the failed messages?

          Kevin,

If you have Saved Messages for the inbound side of the Inbound Thread then you can see the message as sent.

If you want to see the failure you can look in the Error DB via the GUI DB Administrator or via the command line.

What is the Error State you are getting (the Process Log can show you that information as well as the Error DB – and if you have EO Config turned up you can also see the message in the Process Log).

If you execute the hcidbdump -e -c command from the telnet session,

the “-c” option will display the “context” of the error instead of having to plow through a process log.  However, for trxid errors, it only displays something like “xlate error”.

            Good luck.
