      Hello,

We are using Cloverleaf 5.3 on Windows Server 2003.

We recently changed the password that we log on to the server and run the QDX service with. We have 3 outbound threads that send to a “fileset-Local”. When we changed the password these 3 threads went into an error status.

My question is what credentials do the the “fileset-Local” threads use to write the files?

      Thank you,

      Garrett

On windows the engine uses the credentials that the QDX service runs under.  When you changed the service login credentials did you reboot / restart all processes?

No, we did not reboot. We also did not stop any processes. But we did stop the QDX service and try to start it again. When we tried to start it we got a message saying it could not log in.

If we stopped the processes that are usuing the Fileset-local threads would that be enough to allow the new password to take, or will we need to do the reboot?

            Thank you,

            Garrett

if you don’t want to reboot you will need to do the following steps:

              1. stop ALL cloverleaf processes in all sites (including monitor daemon)

              2. stop and start CL service.
