Some time back Jim Cobane sent me instructions for changing LU6.2 on the VTAM side so it would remain connected and not time out.  Jim, like me, has slept since then and cannot remember  ðŸ˜€

      Anyone have the instructions?

I too have slept some since them (not much but some).

I think in the Siemens Invision world there is a setting that tells Invision when to end the conversation (effectively stopping the LU6.2 VTAM conversation) based on time since last conversation exchange.

I seem to recall that can be set to a value that effectively says don’t ever end the conversation.

I don’t recall there being a VTAM or CICS setting.

Of course all of the above could simply be a hallucination on my part but if the above is true, then it is the application that controls the persistency of the conversation.

Thanks Jim but I need more explicit instructions  ðŸ˜€

I’m not sure my client would benefit from your’s or my partial memory

              Charlie,

I will pose the question to our Invision folks and see if they know the profile affected (I think it is a profile) and what the setting might be.

Does your client need navigation screen shots as well or will they know how to get to the Invision profile management and how to navigate it?

Like me, they are pretty thick  ðŸ˜€

They will probably need a roadmap  ðŸ™„
