Another thing to note is that ‘HOLD’ is only applicable to an outbound thread; placing an inbound thread on HOLD has no impact. So, if you are putting an inbound thread on HOLD, with the intent of stopping messages to the outbound threads, it won’t have any effect.
To make the HOLD persistent you need to check in the configuration for the thread. It is contained as the very first item on the Outbound tab as a check box. I do this if I don’t want an operator or someone to bounce the thread and remove the HOLD…..You just need to remember to take it off when you are done.
